Company Information

Investigator Resources Limited (ASX Code: IVR) is a metals explorer focused on the southern Gawler Craton of South Australia, which offers revitalised discovery opportunities in a data rich and supportive jurisdiction. This has been demonstrated by Investigator’s discoveries of two entirely new deposit styles (epithermal silver and porphyry copper-gold) in only the past six-years. This makes Investigator the leading player in one of the country’s most exciting emerging metals provinces.

Investigator’s primary focus is developing its wholly-owned Paris silver deposit discovered in 2011.

In April 2017, the Company announced a significant upgrade of the Mineral Resource estimation for Paris Silver Project to 9.3Mt at 139g/t silver and 0.6% lead for 42Moz contained silver and 55kt contained lead (at a 50g/t silver cut-off ). The indicated component is 4.3Mt @ 163g/t silver and 0.6% lead for 23Moz contained silver and 26kt contained lead.

Investigator is undertaking a Pre-Feasibility Study for the Paris Silver Project that includes hydrological and metallurgical studies. The potential extensions of the Paris deposit are also being drilled with the objective of expanding the silver resource to a target of 70 million ounces.

  • The Company’s other key opportunities are: Satellite silver targets around the Paris silver project.
  • The recently identified Nankivel copper-gold porphyry prospect and surrounding targets also near Paris.
  • Exploration in the wider Uno Province for other epithermal silver, porphyry copper-gold and other mineralisation styles.
  • Maslins IOCG copper-gold target, 50km south of Carrapateena in the revised southern extension of the Olympic Dam belt recently remapped by government surveying with breakthrough geophysics.

Investigator first listed on the Australian Securities Exchange in April 2007 as Southern Uranium Limited, then in 2010 changed its name to Investigator Resources Limited to reflect the Company’s new exploration focus in South Australia and diversification towards precious and base metals.

The Company has more than 3,300 shareholders. Investigator’s cornerstone investor, CITIC Australia Pty Ltd has been a significant shareholder since the Company’s inception ten-years ago.

The Board and Senior Management include accomplished professionals with strong track records in the areas of exploration, mining, finance and law. Investigator has a total of 8 staff, including four geologists, to provide the knowledge and creativity foundation for the Company, supplemented by consultants and contractors.
